Aims and Objectives
In western economics, case teaching method usually an auxiliary learning tool.It can be the foundation of good economics study. It is laid by understanding what the case method is, what the purpose of learning is, how to understand the cases and apply them. Through the analysis of case teaching method, the application effect will be explored, better in-depth case teaching development in western economics teaching application .

LO1:Better understand economic problems and cultivate their ability to analyze problems

LO3:Enhance students' social consciousness and improve their learning ability and accomplishment
Module Outline (brief description of content)
Western economics is a high generalization of western economic development since the development of western market economy, which unilaterally reflects the economic development trend of western countries. Comparing the western economic development concept with China's, we can see that there are many differences, and the most different between the two sides is the historical background, so most of the Western ideas can hardly be applied to China's economy. Case teaching method can make up for this defect, and use many practical cases to objectively show western economics, so that students can better understand western economics, so as to help students better understand the basic theoretical knowledge of Western economics and master its principles .

1.Bring cases into the lecture : select appropriate case types and extend and expand the teaching difficulties and the focus of the course chapter.

Learning methods and requirements:
1.Preview: Read the general frame, grasp the basic principles and summarize the systematic way of understanding.
2.Learning: Self-absorption of knowledge and understanding of case contents by using various methods of analysis
3. Application: The case can be properly converted into the corresponding theory, which can be used by students, and the abstract concepts in books can be concertize and practical, and the expression ability of students can be exercised.

Assessment 1: Debate Competition of Specialized Subject (100 point, worth 40% of module mark)
Assessment 2: Write a paper on analysis on the application effect of case teaching method in economics teaching (100 point, worth 40% of module mark)
